Justin Howe

Hi, I’m Justin Howe,

I am married to my sweetheart, Dorothy. Together, we have five kids. Our oldest has already left the nest and is married to our son-in-law, two are in high school, and the youngest is in junior high. We enjoy being part of the community particularly in areas where our kids are involved. If there’s a junior high or high school sporting event, choir, or band event, you might just see us there! We have made our home in Canton since 2021.

My Story

I serve as the Planter and Lead Pastor of Roots Bible Church. I am deeply committed to seeing the Great Commission fulfilled as a church, i.e. making disciples of all peoples. I believe that God’s Word reveals the very heart and character of God. Therefore, I sincerely want to know and do what Scripture instructs me to do. To help others walk in the same path of faith in Jesus thrills my soul.

I had the privilege of serving as an associate pastor with responsibilities primarily to children, youth, and families for the first decade of my ministry and development. After that, I ministered for 12 years as the lead pastor at two churches, one in Washington state and one in East Texas, before God prompted me to plant a new church. Doing so has caused me to pause and reconsider, “what is church?” I pray we develop what Scripture describes.

I enjoy hanging out with people, playing sports or coaching, and going for walks with my wife. It wouldn’t be shocking to find me with a cup of coffee and talking with someone about life and their relationship with Jesus.
